Disaster in Pennsylvania after Fire causes Smoke Inhalation Killing 10 Victims Autopsy Reveals in Report of Police Investigation
Monday, August 8th, 2022, 10:51 AM reporting on Friday August 12th, 2022, 11:30 PM Nescopeck, PA- Nearly together 10 victims were found deceased after an early morning fire in northeastern Pennsylvania last week died of smoke inhalation, authorities said Monday. Autopsies confirmed finished Saturday and Sunday on the victims on the early Friday blaze in Nescopeck, according to the Luzerne County coroner's office. A decree declared in court in on the manner of death for all 10 victims- profiling the deaths as accidents or homicides, for example- is determining the development of the state authority investigation into the fire, experts said.
Positive identification of the victims is also processing review of the medical records, dental records and DNA genetic testing if required, the coroner's office stated. State police said seven adults ranging from late teens to age 79 died along with children 5, 6, and 7.
Sam Sanguedolce is Nescopeck county's district attorney. He said in the primary investigation that which he suggests the blaze ignited on the front porch at around 2:30 AM on Friday. Three people facilitated immediate escape from the inferno, which destroyed the structure. The cause of the blaze still remains under investigation.
Nescopeck is a small town on the Susquehanna River, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southwest of Wilkes-Barre.
