THE PRISON PERSEVERANCE POEM
~Cory Morr
Though the inmate is behind the wall of the prison, the prison will not collapse rubble on his soul. Though the prisoner is under the shadow, the shadow will not hide the identity of his honor. Though the hostage is aside of the rock, the rock will not break his body split the strength of the house.
Though the captive is between time and freedom alone, time and freedom won't strip him unashamed council.
Though the subdued is near another night of without sleep, the night won't swallow his rest before the face of day.
Though the blamed is upon the sand of the desert, the verdict won't melt his name dissolved. Though the righteous are above the sealing of the earth, the earth won't trap their salvation of the grave, and the brave is exonerated glory out of the hole escaped.
